Woohoo! Ponce City Market finally opened its leasing office yesterday and revealed drool-worthy floor plans and photos of the historic project’s residential rentals. Options range from $1,225/month for a 575-square-foot studio to $3,395/month for a 1,790-square-foot three-bedroom, two-bath unit, with more than 30 floor plan options in between. Residents, expected to start moving in this fall, will live among PCM’s 330,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and can wander onto the Beltline any time the urge strikes via the new pedestrian bridge. There’s even a bike valet.
The interiors of the studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom lofts were designed to keep as much of the original masonry and historic design as possible, meaning each flat has elements that reflect the building’s Sears Roebuck & Co. days. (According to the website, there are plenty of small historical details to notice, such as the fact that the original columns in the east wing are squared and those in the west wing are round.) The massive steel-frame windows remain and the original concrete floors have been freshly stained and sealed. Based on the images, the newer touches and fittings have a clean, modern look that complements the historical features.
The 259 pet-friendly flats are in both the east and west wings of the building and will be leased and managed by Greystar. If you’ve already expressed interest via the website, you’ll be getting a call or email soon. Then all your friends will be jealous.
